How to reach us

There are many launch points along the Hamble and which you choose to use is dependent on your craft, the wind, tide, your experience level and parking arrangements at each place.

 

An online search for the nearest public slipways to us (Lower Swanwick, Lands End, River Hamble Pontoon) is a good starting point for planning your trip.

 

Joining this Facebook group will put you in touch with people who know the river well and who can advise. Group paddles are frequently posted and while everyone is responsible for themselves and it isn't professionally guided, going out with other people is a good way to familiarise yourself with the river if you've not paddled it before.

Should you prefer to book a professional guide, The Paddle Centre, River Hamble Adventures and Stoked Watersports are all based on the Hamble and will be able to book you in.

Please be aware that we open for tenders and small, powered boats that can more easily manage river conditions when unsuitable for paddlers; our being open does not necessarily indicate that conditions are suitable for those paddling.
